Meet Dr. Sidney Webster and Dug the Pacman Frog:
Where It All Began

DUG

Long before Pac-MagFrog.com became a trusted hub for Pacman frog enthusiasts, it all started with a single frog — and a whole lot of curiosity.

Hi, I’m Dr. Sidney Webster, a lifelong biologist, exotic pet advocate, and the proud founder of this site. My journey into the world of Pacman frogs began not in a lab or zoo, but in the quiet corner of a local reptile expo where I first laid eyes on Dug, a chubby little frog no larger than a bottle cap.

Dug was my first Pacman frog — a brilliant orange Ceratophrys cranwelli with a feisty appetite and a surprisingly bold personality. What started as a casual fascination quickly turned into a deep passion. I was captivated by Dug’s behavior, his adaptability, and the sheer uniqueness of his care needs. That little frog opened my eyes to an entire world of misunderstood amphibians with big mouths, bigger bellies, and hearts to match.

Through years of experience, research, and personal care, I’ve learned that raising Pacman frogs isn’t just about feeding and misting — it’s about understanding their instincts, respecting their nature, and creating a habitat that mirrors their wild origins. Dug, now a senior member of my amphibian family, continues to remind me every day why I fell in love with these frogs in the first place.

Pac-MagFrog.com was created to share that love — and the science behind it — with frog keepers everywhere. Whether you’re caring for your first frog or building a collection, this site is dedicated to helping you do it with knowledge, compassion, and confidence.

From Dug and I— welcome to the community.
